The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001 provides for Public Choice for schools in Program Improvement (PI). The HBUHSD schools identified as Program Improvement are Ocean View High School and Westminster High School. Parents of students attending either high school have the options of transferring their child to an available school within the district that has not been identified as PI. The district will provide transportation to the non-PI school. Available HUBHSD non-PI schools are: Edison High School, Huntington Beach High School and Marina High School.
