Ocean View Welcomes Stephanie Scott as new Assistant Principal HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - Ocean View High School (OVHS) welcomes Stephanie Scott to the Seahawks as their new Assistant Principal of Supervision. As a graduate from Marina High School, Stephanie Scott returns to the Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) to serve the Seahawk community. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the University of Southern California in 2003 and Master’s degree in Educational Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential from National University in 2004. Continuing her education, Stephanie Scott also received her Administrative Services Credential from National University in 2008. Stephanie Scott is joining the Seahawk family with years of professional education experience. Beginning her educational career as the College Career Center Director at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, Scott quickly gained a passion for working with students and transitioned to the Safe Schools Coordinator/Crisis Counselor for several years before entering an administrative role. She spent four years as an administrator overseeing athletics, student activities and leadership, attendance, guidance and counseling, supervision and campus safety, facilities, and testing. Robert Rasmussen, OVHS Principal, stated, “We are so happy to welcome Stephanie to our Seahawk family. Stephanie brings with her a multitude of experience and skills to her position here at OVHS.” “I’m so grateful to continue to grow in a career I love in the district I graduated from and have been a lifelong resident of,” exclaimed Stephanie Scott as she enters her new role as a Seahawk. “It is an honor and privilege to serve the students, faculty, staff, and families at OVHS!
