Stacy Robison is Announced as the New Interim Principal of Valley Vista High School

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - The Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) is pleased to announce Stacy Robison as the new interim principal of Valley Vista High School (VVHS). Robison comes to VVHS from Huntington Beach High School (HBHS), where she served as the Special Programs Administrator for the last seven years, overseeing the Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts (APA).

 

With an impressive 18-year career in education, Robison enters her new role with a wealth of knowledge and experience. She has been a vital member of HBHS over the years, advocating for APA’s innovation and growth, which has significantly increased opportunities for student success. While in this position, Robison also stepped in as interim principal of Huntington Beach High School during the 2023-24 school year, demonstrating her ability to effectively lead students and staff, while continuing to foster a culture of unity and excellence. Prior to her time at HBHS, Robison served as both an instructor and career specialist at the Coastline Regional Occupational Center for six years, followed by Coordinator of Instructional Programs for four years.


Throughout her career, Robison has been continuously recognized for her excellence as an educator and dedication to the arts. After her first year as the Special Programs Administrator at HBHS, she was honored with the 2017 Distinguished Arts Administrator Award by the city of Huntington Beach, highlighting her immediate and significant impact on arts education and the greater Huntington Beach community. Her efforts in supporting and advancing music education were further recognized when she was named the 2021 California Music Educators Award (CMEA) Outstanding Administrator. This past year, Robison received the 2024 Orange County Music and Arts Administrators District Administrator Award (OCMAA) for her dedication to fostering student creativity and success through arts education. Her proven track record, emphasis on student achievement, and innovative leadership skills will be an invaluable asset as she embarks on this next chapter.
